Mixing brew

I usually make a reduction with water, lemon juice, tea bags and some
hole cloves. I usually get nice result when i use this brew to mix
my henna and the smell of cloves is just wonderful. But I've
read/heard that some people get reactions from the clove.

So... I'm wondering do you guys use clove in your mix when doing
henna for your clients or at fairs?
