black Henna

Hi all
New to this Henna thing.
I have an unused (yet) tube of black henna. The black is "Acid Black"
a commonoly used food colourant, according to the contents list. Does
this make it a safe black henna paste?
I purchased it over the internet from www.bigwideworld.com (this is
not an advert, I mention the site just in case it helps with
clarifying the safety of the product.
