Even though black acid was listed as the blackening agent it would not transform the hennatonic molecules to black. older skin cells are permeable to hennatonnic acid, but are impermeable to many many other substances, in fact most food dyes are impermeable. So osmosis cannot occur if the particles are too big to permeate the cells. i would stay away from it, (the black henna, and the previous science lesson) who know what was added to make it black.
