Hmmm..
My guess is that you had a reaction to something she used in mixing
the paste, like clove or another slight irritant. Although i do
wonder if you might have an allergy to pure henna powder. If you've
ever had henna done before with no problem, and were fine, it is not
the henna itself. Is there any chance you could go back and ask her
what she mixed in the paste?

: I had a henna design done yesterday at the Bristol Renaissance
: Faire. The lady who did it did a great job! However, after about
two
: hours, the dried henna got really itchy and after I got most of it
: off, the whole area itched unbearably for about two hours and was
red
: under the design. This morning, it is completely fine- no itch, no
: red and it looks really good. Is it normal for it to itch, or did
I
: make it worse by taking the dry paste off? I have read a great
deal
: about PPD on this forum, but I sincerely doubt that this is the
: problem.
: Since I am beginning to do designs myself, I would like to know so
: that this doesn't happen to anyone I work on.
:
: Thanks!
