Black Henna Problem...yikes

I recently got my 2nd "black" henna w/my husband at Irvine Spectrum
in Irvine, CA. I had previously recieved one there w/no visible
problems so I wasn't concerned w/a brief warning. I figured if I were
allergic, I would have had a reaction the first time. WRONG! My
husbands "henna" immediately began giving him a burning sensation and
his skin began pealing off the next day in the shape of the henna and
is now a slight scar in the shape of the henna. Mine quickly began
itching (which, luckily I didn't scratch) and began swelling in the
henna shape. After a few days of strange reactions, I found this site
online and was SHOCKED to find all the problems! IF ONLY I HAD READ
THIS SOONER! I immediately went to the dr. and he suggested I use
hydrocortizone topically. It has helped a LOT and the itching is
reduced and the swelling is SLOWLY going down. It's been 2 weeks and
there is still a swelled and itchy area in the shape of my henna.
