CCJ is beloved to all of us, but I for one felt led down the merry
primrose path with the sirius mixes. I don't think any of us have
achieved any "blackberry" stains, or else we'd be on this forum
raving about it, right?! Most of us have gotten stains that are a
wee bit darker, without aftercare, but (gasp!) I never did much
aftercare anyway, so it all looked about the same on my skin.

Few of us were able to go to Sirius Rising, where these results were
tried with different henna, different bodies, and different results.
I believe that if we had seen CCJ and the other bunnies make these
big-bad terped pastes, we would have been more capable of following
her example.

Unfortunately, the price of essential oils is simply too much for us
to fool around with our ingredients, to experiment too much on our
own. CCJ made the sirius mixes with us in mind. Although the
process will be time consuming, it is up to us now to continue the
process of alchemy and experimentation. That's why it is so
important for us to post our results here, and to keep working.

Yes, I think that NOT washing off the dry henna paste, letting it
flake away on its own, and not taking a shower or otherwise being
exposed to water for 12 hours or so after that, definitely lets your
henna have time to combine with your skin cells so it can get a
headstart on the darkening process.
