Terpinol, (seems to be the favored spelling) depending on how it is
refined, may be a harmless addition to henna. I keep looking, but I
haven't found any "red flag" toxicities in terpinol, terpine,
terpinene, pinene or pineol, and they all do a helluva job. Tea Tree
oil can be over 35% terpinol. Terpinol is a constituent of many
essential oils, and has an amazing effect on henna. Those two have
very small molecules, and penentrate the skin alongside the henna, and
oxidize it within the cell. (or that's what appears to me to be
happening...)

Terpinol is one of the minor constituents of eucalyptus oil (cineaol,
pinene and menthol also occur in euc in higher proportions). I think
it is very possible that the widely different results from eucalyptus
oil may be because different sources have greater or lesser levels of
terpinene and pinene. So ..... if someone fusses that eucalyptus oil
is somehow preferable to terpinol .... that may be a bit of a hollow
claim as one is part of the other.

I can't vouch for the purity of Zubeda's terpinol. That would be my
only concern. I've been raiding Wyndmere's and Aurocacia's EO's for
testing, and of the two, I'm partial to Wyndmere.

For more info on which EO has what, link below. Most enlightening,
put together with Txilar's links from a few days ago.
