Cajeput and Earth Henna/solution et al

I mixed up the powder Earth Henna with the solution provided by
Lakaye Mehndi Studio and couple of weeks ago and hennaed my hand. I
wrapped it and slept overnight with the hand in a sock under my
covers. The resulting color at first was a light to medium range
orange and then turned quite dark after 24 hours. Problem was that
half of the design just disappeared after two days and all of it was
completely gone by day 4. I had never had henna disappear like
that. Not fade. Just gone. I had kept this in the refrigerator
since then. I added the Cajeput to it last night to see what would
happen. First thing I noticed was the consistency of the paste
changed immediately. It became really slick and surpy-like. It was
a breeze to apply. Easier to do small details. I like to work free-
hand so this consistency allowed me to just whiz right along. I did
not wrap or seal or apply any heat. I just made the design and
waited. Actually fell asleep again. Three hours later I scraped off
the paste. The color was a deep reddish/orangey/brown. Deeper than
it was without the Cajeput. It continues to get darker. It has been
two hours since taking the past off and I can see it getting darker
though it is still a really deep tan-brown like color. If I can
figure out how to get a picture for you to see I will take it and get
it here. I am going to take pictures of this with my digital
camera. If I can share the pics I will. The design runs from four
inches above my wrist down the side of my arm, top of my hand and up
my index finger. The color is quite consistent except for one spot.
And I have a question about this spot.

It appears that whenever I put eucalyptus oil on my skin prior to the
henna, where ever the eucalyptus oil was place the design is much
more faint. It also disappears from that spot the quickest. I
deliberately did it again on just one spot on my arm to see if it
would happen again. And it is lighter and more faint at that spot.
What is that about? Does anyone have a clue?

Well, I am going to try the Cajeput with a different batch of henna
tonight on another part of my hand to see what results I get. I am
also wanting to see if the Earth Henna will last longer as a result
of the Cajeput.
