Asking the forum's opinion: Do you want my book?

Hi all,
Well, as some of you know, i have a henna book in the works. It was
just going to be a lot of random patterns from the arts of various
cultures. But i was supposed to have it finished by now, and i have
not even the first 5 pages done. I have 3 that i did wrong and have
to redraw again.
And seeing/hearing about all the progress the other authors hanging
around here are making has made me feel like maybe this wasn't meant
to be. I'm stuck back in the begining stages, and everyone else is
speeding on ahead.
I also have a really dumb pet-peeve about originality. I feel that if
it isn't 100% original as a henna pattern then i can't take credit
for it. For example, if Turkish arts had already been covered in
another book, i feel like i can't cover them because it's already
been done and even if the patterns are totally different, they will
be somehow an imitation of the original. It makes me feel like people
will say 'oh he just re-drew what other people already did.'
I have no idea where i am going to find the time anyways, as it looks
like almost all my free time will be spent doing homework or
exhausted from doing all the homework. I know, i could be drawing
now, but what purpose would it serve?
So is anybody going to give me a major pep talk? I want to do this
book. Make me do it.
~Nick
