: While I am angry and devistated by what happened, we CANNOT
: get angry, we CANNOT retaliate, that would be giving them what they

If we forgive this and any future attacks, we will forvive ourselves
into no longer having a free and safe country. That is just not
realistic.

:If we do not forgive what are we teaching our children? That if
: someone hits you, hit them back. That if someone hates you, hate
them
: back.

Don't confuse defending ourselves with hatred. By bringing to justice
the people responsible for this unforgivable atrocity we are teaching
our children that this great country is worth saving.

I agree our children should be taught tolerance, that it is
unacceptable to condemn someone simply for race, color, or religion.
Osama bin Laden has condemned Americans for just those reasons and
his blind hatred for Americans has led us to where we are now.

This Nation is not one of the greatest because we have sat back and
allowed such hated to go unpunished. I'm not saying I want a war, I
pray every day this will end peacefully, but if it does not I will do
my duty as an American citizen to help defend her in any way I can.

Respectfully,
KIM
