Me too! I just emailed Catherine my regrets. A combination of events
is keeping me away again this year. I was really looking forward to
meeting people I know only by name here. Maybe next year.

I am still thinking about a late-winter mini-Sirius in the New York
area. It should be a good time to find cheap flights to NYC from
almost anywhere. I am looking at two options or a combination of
both.

1. I have found a place in the Catskills (2 hours out of NYC) that can
house 10-18 people with 3 full baths, a full kitchen, dining room
andtwo living rooms. It can be rented for $1000 for a weekend which
makes is a pretty good deal per person.

2. We can stay in NYC (everyone can get a hotel room somewhere, or we
can take over a hostel) and take advantage of all the henna-related
shopping, ethnic music and food and dance etc. plus take advantage of
my circle of friends and clients (as well as those of other artists in
the are) who would be our willing henna victims.

Just off the top of my head I can think of 10 henna artists in the
immediate area plus anyone who could come in from out of town. Just
something to keep in
