But what is really surprising is the amount of change over the course
of the day.
WOW! That's amazing! I had a color change like that once before when
I used a Rani kone for the first time -- and have never gotten the
same result since.

: Theories?
I have one client who swears by Icy-Hot gel applied after her wrap
comes off -- she uses the Icy-Hot to remove the paste and then uses a
hair dryer until she can't stand the heat. She must have very tough
skin! I tried it and not only did my color not develop into something
fantastic, I felt a distinct unpleasant burning sensation for a long
time...

At Sirius we played with hennaing drums -- and the color really
deepens if you apply heat after you remove the paste ( a couple of
swipes with a cool iron did the trick.)

People who got hennaed and then danced a lot around a very hot bonfire
at Sirius had very dark designs (deep bittersweet), so I'll bet sweat
and heat have a lot to do with "curing".

Keep experimenting. ANd you are so lucky to have such a cool Mom
(who's close enough for you to paint on).!
