Grainy henna + the latest contorvercyPosted by samantha on July 18, 2001 at 09:50:54: I bought some henna recently and sieved it once through a singlelayer of stocking (pantyhoe to the other side of the wetspot) and then sieved it again through a double layer so it had a great powdery consistancy. I mixed with lemon only as i want a more red shade. After mixing i noticed that it was sorta grainy as if it hadn't been sieved at all. Why is that? any ideas? As for the latest controvercy I can see both sides of the current argument about advertising but is really sad to see everyone bitching at each other. Some of us (myself included) sell henna and of course we want the custom of people on the forum - and the lurkers. However i feel that the current bitchiness may put people off buying from the traders involved. The discussion is getting rather hot and way out of hand with jibes and insults coming from many direction. The friendships we have made here could be in jeoprdy due to business competition and interests. That is really sad. Business and monitary gain before friendships and comradary (s/p?) Maybe i'm just not a good businesswoman. Perhaps it might be a good idea to agree to point people who are interested in buying henna to the suppliers page. Maybe Jeremy could give the suppliers say 50 words to promote thier henna. Nothing is to stop you e-mail privatly about personal henna supplies. I would just hate to see the foundations of this forum crumble. Samantha
