I have never used just lemon as I have always combined the lemon with sugar with my henna powder. But I have noticed that the addition of sugar makes the paste smoother and the oils make it stringier. Also, I wonder about what the addition of warm tea, coffee or water might do to make it smoother for you. Like I said...just a guess. Concerning the controversy going on a bit further down. It surprises and dismays me. I came in late last night to get my henna info fix from the forum. I started reading this stuff and clicked off. Too mean spirited. I don't sell henna. I come here for information, to share and know who the sellers are. Readers who buy are capable of making their own decisions concerning buying from individual sellers and the most important factor in that decision should be the quality of the henna. I personally have no problem if a seller makes an objective statement about their product in context of responding to an inquiry. I have no problem with the link to their site. I have no problem if the English is not perfect. I have a problem with intolerance, personal negative comments and the use of the forum to express all of that. If there is a standard for interaction on the forum then hopefuly people will begin to live up to those standards. If there are no standards then perhaps someone should establish some quickly...cause this is what you get. Henna deserves better than how it is represented in that war. Anyone who came to the forum within the last 2 weeks for the first time must truly have a strange perspective about what goes on here. Glad I found the forum a few weeks prior and know what usually goes on here. I am glad you posted because I was thinking that I was the only one turned off by it. Maureen
