How Henna Boy Mixes and Applies.

We mix the henna fresh everyday. To it we add a mix of oils to assist in the dye release:

Eucalyptus
Clove
Camphor
Tea Tree
Black Pepper

These are all mixed into a large bottle and then a few drops added to the henna every time we mix. The result is dye release of great strength and reliability.

To apply the henna we use carrot bags and clean the skin with an isopropyl/terpinol mix. Before application we use a little of the oil blend and apply to the skin where the design is to be applied. We believe this promotes the absorption of the dye into the skin and keeps the henna wetter on the skin for longer.

As the studio and pier is a popular environment we generally do not apply any fixative or lemon/sugar solution….we find the customers are quite happy not to have this. Once the design is applied they then leave with aftercare instructions to ensure they get the most out of their henna design.

This is the rise of the Henna Boy. Based on Brighton Pier we are open all year and are available for shows, events, parties, cooperate functions, weddings and any other occasion.

We also supply henna powder, accessories and books, and offer training throughout the winter season only.

Please come and visit the studio! Mention this article and we will give you up to 20% off.
