Hello all, I had the experience of my life today and I wanted to share. I recently bought some of that awesome crop of henna that Catherine was raven about and last night I decided to do my left hand with the left overs from some clients. I did the routine: draw, get it sticky, wrap and cover. 9 hrs. later I had to take it all off since I had to go to work. It looked the way it always does on me. Bright orange. But.....
....I work in a airport restaurant. As I was baking muffins and glazing danishes a customer walked up to me and started laughing. Of course I was in complete surprise when he chuckled:" Do you alway paint your hand with choclate glaze when you do your baking goods?" That's when I actually paid attention to my hand and to my biggest surprise the design (solid cherry blossoms) had turned dark choclate brown, almost black on some petals. All the heat from the oven and the hot oven mitts did the trick and the magic of mehndi showed it's best side I have ever seen in my life. Even my hindu co-worker was in astonishment over the super dark color. I love it :-)
Thanks for the great advertisment of the great henna crop at Castle Art from Catherine Cartwright
